The failure of the health insurance cooperative operating in Iowa and Nebraska, together with significant financial losses experienced by most other co-ops, have raised questions about the viability of the ACA’s Consumer Operated and Oriented Plan (CO-OP) program, say Georgetown University’s Sabrina Corlette and colleagues in a new blog post. But don’t count co-ops out, the researchers say.
