Cameron Pledges Seven-Day-a-Week Health Service

The prime minster used his first major speech since his reelection to promise that the National Health Service will become the world’s first seven-day-a-week universal health service, saying it will guarantee care to patients “whenever and wherever they want it.” Cameron promised that the Tories would follow up on their pledge to provide an extra £8 billion in funding.
