Shane Reti, M.B.Ch.B., a primary care physician and 2007–08 Harkness Fellow in Health Care Policy and Practice from New Zealand, was elected earlier this month to the New Zealand parliament. New to politics, Reti had previously served as chief operating officer of the Division of Clinical Informatics and assistant professor of medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
