Do Patient Activation Scores Predict Depression Outcomes?

doctor healthcare patient

Depression is a common and disabling disease that will affect approximately 16 percent of U.S. adults during their lifetimes. Sacks of George Washington University's School of Nursing and colleagues examine the relationship between patient activation—a measure of patients’ knowledge, skill, and confidence in managing their health—and depression remission and response to treatment.
