The Association of Health Care Journalists (AHCJ) has announced a new fellowship program to help reporters identify and describe high performance health care in their local health care systems and across the United States. The AHCJ Media Fellowships on Health Performance, supported by The Commonwealth Fund, enable mid-career journalists to pursue a significant reporting project examining health care systems. Fellows attend seminars on health system performance, consult with AHCJ fellowship leaders and experts, and receive financial support for field reporting, health data, or other research needs.
The fellows continue working their regular jobs and pursue their projects with the support of their newsrooms, which will publish or air the projects. Freelance reporters are also welcome to apply.
