Yanick Rice Lamb is associate publisher and editorial director of Heart & Soul. She is also an associate professor at Howard University. Previously, she was founding editor of BET Weekend, an editor-at-large at Essence, senior editor for health and education at Child, a contributing editor at Emerge, and an editor at The New York Times and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Her book projects include Born to Win: The Authorized Biography of Althea Gibson and Health & Healing for African Americans.
