William C. Hsiao, Ph.D., is the K.T. Li Research Professor of Economics at the Harvard School of Public Health. His health policy research program spans developed and less-developed nations. Dr. Hsiao and his research team focus their economic studies on five topics: a simulation model of the U.S. health sector; payment systems for physicians and hospitals; comparative health care systems; financing health care in developing nations; and interaction between economic development and health care.
