Tom Betlach

Tom Betlach, M.P.A., is a partner at Speire Health Strategies, joining the firm in 2019 to advise government and public sector clients on complex health policy and strategic initiatives. Previously, he served for nearly 10 years as Arizona’s Medicaid director. He is a nationally recognized thought leader on Medicaid and health care policy, known for his expertise in serving complex populations, delivery system transformation, value-based purchasing, managed care, and cost containment. He also served as both vice president and president of the National Association of Medicaid Directors. Betlach holds an M.P.A. from the University of Arizona.
