Thomas Hartman is vice president for health care quality improvement for IPRO, a health care quality assessment and improvement organization based in Lake Success, New York. He is responsible for IPRO's programs to improve the quality of care provided in hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, clinics, and physician offices. Prior to joining IPRO, Hartman spent four years as director of quality measurement and performance improvement for a multi-state managed care plan, responsible for clinical and service improvement, medical practice performance assessment, HEDIS reporting, and related activities. His previous experience includes senior positions with the New York State Department of Health involving health care policy development and management.
