Terry Gardiner is the vice president of Policy and Strategy for Small Business Majority. He has worked as a policy advocate for state and national health reform since 2005. He is a member of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health CO-OP Advisory Board. His public policy experience includes five terms as a state representative in the Alaska Legislature and many leadership positions including Speaker of the House. In this legislative capacity, he helped organize a state cooperative bank, an insurance company for physicians to acquire malpractice insurance, and other public/private institutions to address societal challenges. His private sector experience includes two decades as founder and CEO of NorQuest Seafoods, start-up of a fisheries cooperative, and service on boards of several other companies.
