Steven P. Wallace, Ph.D., is associate director of the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research and professor and chair of the department of community health sciences at UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. He has conducted research on immigrant incorporation and access to health care for almost 30 years, beginning with his study on the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. He also leads several studies of the impact of state health policies on vulnerable populations. Wallace has a Ph.D. in sociology from the University of California, San Francisco.
