Dr. Kaplan is a clinical instructor of obstetrics and gynecology at Boston University School of Medicine, Boston, MA. Prior to completing her medical education, Dr. Kaplan worked as a fundraiser at First Nations Development Institute, Fredricksburg, VA, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting culturally consistent Native American indigenous economic development, and served on the Board of Directors at the Washington Free Clinic, Washington, D.C. She is interested in reducing disparities in the physician workforce and has recently focused her efforts in the development of an adjunct educational and support program for minority medical students. Dr. Kaplan received her medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, Charlottesville, VA in 1997 and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Rochester-Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY in 2001.
