Salama Freed, Ph.D., M.S., was a research assistant in the Department of Health Policy at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research interests focus on health insurance markets and health care cost containment. Dr. Freed holds a Ph.D. in economics from Vanderbilt University and an M.S. in economics from Duke University.
