Nancy E. Adler, Ph.D., is director of the Center for Health and Community at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine. She is also the Lisa and John Pritzker Professor of Medical Psychology and the vice chair of the Department of Psychiatry. She is known for her research on health behaviors and social determinants of health. Dr. Adler is a fellow of the American Psychological Society and the American Psychological Association (APA), as well as a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the National Academy of Medicine. She received her doctorate in psychology from Harvard University.
