Micah Weinberg, Ph.D., is senior research fellow in the health policy program at the New America Foundation. He works closely with policymakers in California and Washington, D.C., to develop and implement strategies to control the growth of health care costs while expanding access and improving health outcomes. Since 2001, he has been the President of Weinberg Civic Strategies, producing research and recommendations that have guided the policy and investment decisions of many state, county, and local governments and nonprofit organizations in the areas of community development and human services. He holds a doctoral degree in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with honors from Princeton University with a degree in politics.
