Max Horowitz is senior director for public policy at Fresenius Medical Care North America, joining in September 2018. Previously he was policy counsel at Impact Health Policy Partners (formerly Wynne Health Group). Prior to joining Impact, he worked for a boutique health care firm in a similar capacity. Horowitz earned a law degree from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he served as vice president of the Health Law Society. During his law school career, he clerked for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as Georgia Regents University, which is home to the Medical College of Georgia. He also has experience in applying health care policy on a local government level. During the summer before the first open enrollment period prescribed by the Affordable Care Act, he interned in New York City’s Office of Citywide Health Insurance Access. There, he assisted with the office’s efforts to analyze the law’s impact on access to health insurance for city residents.
