M. Clare Dunne, M.S.W, is a research instructor in the department of pediatrics at the Georgetown University Medical Center. She is a research and policy associate for the National Center for Cultural Competence. Ms. Dunne's primary areas of focus are: developing curricula for incorporating cultural and linguistic competence into maternal and child health interdisciplinary leadership training programs; data analysis; and research and writing on cultural and linguistic competence in the health and mental health care system. Ms. Dunne has clinical experience providing mental health services to adult populations with serious mental illness. She also provided therapeutic interventions to children and adolescents with developmental disabilities. She received a B.A. in psychology from the College of William and Mary, and a M.S.W. in social work planning and administration at Virginia Commonwealth University.
