Lisa A. Cooper, M.D., M.P.H., is associate professor of medicine, epidemiology, and health policy and management at the Welch Center for Prevention, Epidemiology, and Clinical Research, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland. She is a board-certified general internist, health services researcher, and medical educator. Dr. Cooper received her medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Master of Public Health degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She was a Picker/Commonwealth Scholar in patient-centered care research (1995–1997).
