Leslie A. Grant, Ph.D., is associate professor and director of the Center for Aging Services Management in the Division of Health Policy and Management at the University of Minnesota's School of Public Health. Grant's research interests in long-term care include culture change, environmental design, leadership development, and other organizational systems that drive performance improvements. He has been the principal investigator on research grants from the National Institute on Aging, the U.S. Administration on Aging, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Alzheimer's Association, the Retirement Research Foundation, and The Commonwealth Fund. Grant is co-editor of Creative Long-Term Care Administration, 4th ed., and the co-author of The Nursing Home in American Society. He earned a doctorate in human development and aging from the University of California, San Francisco, and master's degrees in health and medical sciences and in architecture from the University of California, Berkeley.
