Laura Gottlieb, M.D., M.P.H., is an associate professor of Family and Community Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine, director of the Social Interventions Research and Evaluation Network, and an associate director of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Evidence for Action National Program. Her research focuses on evaluating programs and policies that aim to increase health care system activities related to identifying and addressing social risk factors in the context of care delivery. Prior to her current appointment, Dr. Gottlieb was a Robert Wood Johnson Health and Society Scholar at UCSF/UCB. She earned her medical degree at Harvard Medical School and her M.P.H. and the University of Washington School of Public Health.
