As the Senior Director of Clinical Affairs, Dr. Steinberg's work interests include advancing the medical home model, population health cancer research, quality improvement, end-of-life care, and correctional health. Previously, she served as the Medical Director of Neponset Health Center in Boston. After completing a clinical fellowship in medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases at Beth Israel Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Dr. Steinberg joined the faculty at Boston University School of Medicine where she focused on HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases. She later served as the HIV Program Director at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center, Boston. Her major research interests lie in community-based health care delivery models for patients with chronic diseases.Dr. Steinberg received her medical degree from the University of Texas at Dallas Southwestern Medical School in 1982, and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Hospital, Boston, in 1985.
