Heidi Dix

Heidi Dix, M.P.H., is currently the assistant secretary of health and human resources for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Previously, Ms. Dix was focused on long-term care and post-acute care issues, Medicaid prescription drug coverage, and Medicaid policy at Avalere Health. Prior to joining Avalere, Ms. Dix served as a Medicaid and State Children's Health Insurance Program analyst for the assistant secretary of management and budget in the department of health and human services. Before that, she worked with the New York State Department of Health and the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Ms. Dix holds a B.S. in policy analysis from Cornell University and a M.P.H. from the State University of New York at Albany.
