Francis J. Crosson, M.D., is a senior fellow with the Kaiser Permanente Institute for Health Policy and associate executive director of The Permanente Medical Group. Dr. Crosson has had a 30-plus-year career with Kaiser Permanente, including 10 years as executive director of the Permanente Federation, the physician side of that organization. He founded and continues to chair the Council of Accountable Physician Practices. He also serves as vice chairman of the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission, the federal panel that advises the U.S. Congress on Medicare issues. Dr. Crosson received his medical degree from Georgetown University.
