Deborah Chollet

Deborah Chollet, Ph.D., is a senior fellow at Mathematica Policy Research, Inc. in Washington, D.C., and a national expert on state health insurance markets and public/private-sector health care reforms. She has led numerous studies on individual and small-group health insurance markets; the impact of state regulation and policy actions on insurance markets and coverage; the cost, financing, and economic feasibility of major state reforms of public programs and private insurance; and the effects of state high-risk insurance pools on health insurance coverage. Chollet is a senior consultant to the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation State Coverage Initiatives program and a frequent consultant to state officials on health insurance market dynamics and policy options for expanding private health insurance coverage.
