Christine Maldonado, PhD is a behavior change specialist at Healthwise, a non-profit dedicated to helping people make better health decisions. Trained as a clinical psychologist she consults with content developers to incorporate principles of motivational interviewing, behavior change theories, choice architecture, cognitive biases, and attitudes and motivations into the content experience.
Prior to joining Healthwise, she served as a lecturer teaching abnormal psychology, health psychology, statistics laboratories, and counseling skills.
Christine holds her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Missouri. She completed her doctoral internship at the University Medical Center at Princeton in Princeton, NJ. She is a licensed psychologist in Idaho and a member of the Society of Behavioral Medicine, the American Psychological Association, and the Idaho Psychological Association.
