Christina Bethell is a professor at the Oregon Health and Science University and the founding director of The Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative (CAHMI). Her research focuses on understanding and enhancing the role of the health care system to protect and improve health outcomes and promote the healthy development of children, with a major focus on the development, testing, and implementation of consumer-centered methods to measure health and the health care quality of heath systems and providers. Dr. Bethell earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She has both a master's in public health and a master's in business administration from the University of California, Berkeley, and earned a Ph.D. in health services and policy research from the University of Chicago.
