Caren Elfenbein was a former program associate in the Child Development and Preventive Care Program. She holds a B.A. in anthropology from Tufts University and an M.P.H. in health promotion disease prevention from Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health. While at Tufts, Ms. Elfenbein was a research assistant for the Tobacco Watch Project, funded by The Dana Farber Cancer Institute, where her team conducted and evaluated research on the effect of the tobacco industry's advertising and marketing on cigarette sales. Ms. Elfenbein's internships during her time at Tufts included a fitness intern at the Wellbridge Fitness Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a public relations intern at Publicis Dialog in New York, New York, and a food and nutrition intern at Long Beach Medical Center in Long Beach, New York.
