Brian Schilling is a freelancer writer based outside of Washington, D.C.. He wrote Purchasing High Performance, a joint newsletter of The Commonwealth Fund and the National Business Coalition on Health published between 2009 and 2013. For nearly 10 years, he was the director of communications for the National Committee for Quality Assurance. He holds a bachelors degree from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from Johns Hopkins.
