Blen Asres is a health justice intern at the National Partnership for Women and Families, joining in January 2023. Previously she was a health equity intern at Impact Health Policy Partners (formerly Wynne Health Group), where she prepared analysis of grant and nomination opportunities along with memos regarding recent health policy developments. Prior to joining Impact Health, Asres served as a health policy intern for the Health Resources and Services Administration, where she wrote a report on the importance of health workforce diversity. Additionally, she interned with the Office of Inspector General in the Office of Evaluation and Inspection, where she conducted research on NIH’s system for evaluating inclusion enrollment plans during the preapproval process for extramural grants for phase 3 clinical trials. Asres holds a B.S. in public health from the University of Maryland and is a member of the D.C. Society of Young Health Professionals.
