Ava Ferguson Bryan, M.D., is a general surgery resident at the University of Chicago, a research fellow in the Center for Surgery and Public Health at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, and an M.P.H. candidate at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She received her M.D. from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.
