Andrea Landes, M.B.A., is vice president, grants management, at the Commonwealth Fund, where she provides strategic operations leadership for the foundation’s grantmaking activities. She leads the team that negotiates, approves, and monitors budgets and terms for all grants and contracts. She has also helped shape the foundation’s technology infrastructure, and coleads initiatives in strategic planning, disability inclusion, mission-aligned investing, and advancing racial equity. Previously, Landes served as the administrative manager at the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center at Memorial Sloan‐Kettering Cancer Center, and in positions in public affairs and marketing at Merck & Co., Inc. She also serves as a trustee and treasurer of JASA, a social-service agency providing critical services to older adults in New York City. Landes earned a bachelor’s degree with honors in English from the University of Rochester, an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, and is an alumna of the Council on Foundations’ Career Pathways program.
