Aimee Cicchiello joined the Commonwealth Fund in 2019 as a program assistant in the Cost Control and Medicare Programs. She was responsible for a variety of duties ranging from daily administrative and grants management tasks to writing, editing, and research responsibilities. Aimee earned her B.A. in political science from Columbia University in May 2019. While there, she was editor of Columbia University’s Journal of Global Health and secretary of her class. As a legal intern for the Vera Institute of Justice (January – April 2019), a nonprofit that acts as legal guardian to elderly and/or disabled clients, Aimee drafted motions for court, researched and analyzed case law, and helped clients access and navigate their Medicaid and Medicare benefits. As a Congressional intern (July – August 2018), she tracked policy and conducted legislative research.
