Abby Walsh, M.P.A., is vice president for strategy and operations at the Council on Criminal Justice. Before helping to cofound the Council, she was a leader of state engagements for the Pew Charitable Trusts, partnering with policymakers to enact data-driven solutions that safely reduced prison populations, improved outcomes for youth in juvenile justice systems, and expanded treatment for substance use disorders. Earlier, she worked to modernize court practices and data collection in the federal judiciary. Walsh received her M.P.A. from the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration at The George Washington University.
