The 2020 Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) scorecard will assess system performance and identify areas for improvement with respect to: access and affordability; choice of setting and provider; quality of life and quality of care; support for family caregivers; and transitions in care. The AARP team will explore ways to strengthen the scorecard’s existing measures, such as those for home‐ and community‐based care, by looking for newly available data sources. The team also will broaden its outreach to states and create practical tools to encourage them to take action based on the new scorecard’s findings.
