This project will seek to identify best practices (policies, programs, and models) used in other countries to lower rates of maternal mortality, as well as integral practices in countries that have low rates of maternal mortality, for potential implementation in the U.S. Through a targeted search of grey and white literature, including peer-reviewed research publications, policy initiatives, practice guidelines, and national health system reports, the team will identify models of best practice and identify preliminary criteria to support ranking practices for strength and candidacy for adoption into U.S. health care systems.
