The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine will convene a committee of about 12 members to create a plan for developing effective primary health care in the United States. The committee will hold four meetings, two of which will include a workshop or public meeting to engage a broad range of experts and advocates. The committee will examine the barriers and enablers of primary care innovation, role of primary care in health equity, and evolving uses of technology. The committee's findings, conclusions from the workshops, and other information‐gathering activities will be summarized in a final consensus report.
