This project would support the fourth year of a partnership between SABEW and the Commonwealth Fund to conduct a journalism training symposium, a fall conference session, and tele-training. With the presidential election around the corner and the uncertainty it will bring for health care coverage, journalists will especially value from additional training and symposia to help them address issues such as the future or the ACA.
Each of these activities will address the need for ongoing education for business journalists surrounding implementation of the ACA and health care in the U.S. The workshops are designed to give reporters an opportunity to gain deeper understanding and broader context on reforms, in order to better inform the public on how the ACA is faring, how costs may be controlled, and other key issues.
