This grant will support one session at the Grantmakers in Aging (GIA) conference dedicated to highlighting work with Health Management Associates that the Medicare program has funded, in partnership with The SCAN Foundation, on regulatory changes to Medicare during the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of the GIA conference is to engage and provide information to national, regional, and local funders who are interested in improving care for people age 65 and older through philanthropy. GIA will engage with funders by disseminating and sharing evidence-based resources through a three-day educational event that includes presentations, skill-building workshops, and networking with professionals in the aging field.
