Sherry Glied’s research team will continue to provide programming and data support for Fund staff and grantee research related to health care coverage and access trends, using the Current Population Survey, National Health Interview Survey, Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance Survey, Medical Expenditure Panel Survey, and other publicly available datasets. The team also will draw on their data resources to write papers on three of these topics: 1) ways to improve the affordability of marketplace coverage for people with incomes exceeding 400 percent of the federal poverty level; 2) health insurance cost‐sharing design and the implications for out‐of‐pocket spending; 3) the effects of moving people eligible for Medicaid into the marketplaces; and 4) the implications of having catastrophic‐only coverage for people with different levels of health risk.
