Funding will provide additional support for planning and implementation of the 20th Anniversary Celebration Meeting to be held in Washington, DC, from June 1 – 4, 2016. The meeting theme is “Closing the Chasm between Clinical Medicine and Population Health: The Key to Improving Health for Vulnerable Populations,” and confirmed speakers include David Blumenthal, David Labby, Former Chief Medical Officer, Health Share of Oregon, and Bernard Tyson, Chairman and CEO of Kaiser Permanente. The meeting will also include current fellows’ practicum presentations, networking opportunities for current and alumni fellows with former HHS officials, and career development sessions for fellows. Support for the 20th Anniversary Meeting will provide an opportunity to bring a larger number of current and alumni fellows together, and provides an opportunity to commemorate the Fund’s 20 years of investment in the fellowship program.
