The project is a mixed‐methods, longitudinal study of women in the United States who are: 1) currently pregnant, 2) recently pregnant, and 3) not pregnant.
The study’s aims are: 1) to determine the impact of COVID‐19 and the associated shelter‐in‐place guidelines on maternal and reproductive health care access, experiences, and use in the United States over time; and 2) to explore differences due to COVID‐19 in access and experience by race/ethnicity and by geographic region. They will accomplish this using mixed-methods research with a sequential explanatory design, including 1) a longitudinal, quantitative survey of women at two time points two months apart, and 2) in‐depth interviews via phone or Zoom.
