On July 30, 2015, The Commonwealth Fund held a webinar on how provider compensation is changing as more health care organizations move toward value-oriented payment models. Mary Beth Dyer of Bailit Health Purchasing discussed early lessons from a study of 16 initiatives in which physician compensation was tied to factors other than productivity, including clinical quality, patient satisfaction, and access to care. The webinar also provided on-the-ground perspectives from two organizations that are implementing value-based compensation for their physicians.
Presentations are available for downloading at left, and a recording is now available.
