On January 19, The Commonwealth Fund hosted a webinar on transitioning to an accountable care organization (ACO). This free 90-minute webinar drew on a series of Commonwealth Fund case studies of ACOs by Elliott Fisher, M.D., M.P.H., and colleagues at The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice.
Representatives from two of the leading ACO sites, Tucson Medical Center and Norton Healthcare, commented on the role of executive and physician leadership in the transition to new models of care. Anne-Marie J. Audet, M.D., M.Sc., S.M., vice president for Health Care Quality and Efficiency at The Commonwealth Fund, will moderate.
