The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation was created one year ago by the Affordable Care Act to identify, evaluate, and disseminate new approaches to health care delivery that lower costs and improve quality. This webinar, cosponsored by The Commonwealth Fund and AcademyHealth, looked at the Innovation Center’s priorities, explored how it can best conduct rigorous, rapid-cycle evaluation, and examined the role of health care providers in identifying and rolling out innovations. Lisa Simpson, M.B., B.Ch., M.P.H., F.A.A.P., president and CEO of AcademyHealth, and Stuart Guterman, vice president for Payment and System Reform at The Commonwealth Fund and executive director of The Commonwealth Fund Commission on a High Performance Health System, co-moderated.
