Aaron Bishop is professional staff–Disability and Special Healthcare Population Policy, for the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, United States Senate. In this position, Bishop advises Senator Michael Enzi on legislative strategy, initiatives, and policy for assigned issue areas and performs research on, drafts, analyzes, and tracks legislation. His legislative and policy portfolio includes education, employment, healthcare, and technology, and oversight and investigations regarding disability and special healthcare population related issues. He also assists in the development of memos and organizing briefings for Committee staff. Bishop holds a master's of science in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Project: Bishop's project is a comparative analysis of the Australian health care system and the Massachusetts health care reform law, with special attention to issues of access and utilization for individuals with disabilities. He is based at the Social Policy Research Centre, University of New South Wales in Sydney, with Professor Illan Katz as mentor.
